Biography
As a Junior (2010-11)
Went 3-2 in singles (courts 4-5-6) and 4-0 (courts 2 and 3) in doubles… singles wins came versus players from HIU and Biola… doubles wins were against Hope International, #23 Westmont and Biola.
As a Sophomore (2009-10)
Competed in 10 singles matches, posting an 8-2 mark there and was 8-1 in doubles… was 6-0 in both singles and doubles versus GSAC players and teams… part of three doubles shutouts and two of her singles wins were 6-0, 6-0.
As a Freshman (2008-09)
Finished the season with a 5-3 record in singles and an 11-11 record in doubles… at the NAIA tournament she and partner Kelsey Weir posted a marathon 9-8 victory on court two over SCAD’s Collins/Mrochen.
Prior to PLNU
Spent four seasons with the Titans playing for Coach Evi Valles… was on the No. 1 doubles team… earned All-CIF San Diego Section first team honors twice and was Player of the Year twice… reached the CIF doubles finals, her most exciting tennis moment… member of all-academic team, FCA and NHS member.
Personal
Born April 24, 1990 in Poway, CA… parents are Neil and Susan… Samantha and her dad compete nationally in doubles, earning a No. 10-ranking in the USTA and No. 1 in San Diego… fan of Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras… likes the Chargers and the Steelers… reads the "Twilight" book series… watches “House” and “24”… enjoys drawing, painting and photography… came to PLNU for the Christian atmosphere, the location and the tennis program… Samantha is an exercise science major who aspires to work in physical therapy.
