Kyle Hazlett joined the PLNU Golf coaching staff as Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Hazlett joins the Sea Lions after previously serving as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s Golf Team at the University of La Verne.

During his time coaching at La Verne, the Leopards set a number of school records, including setting a new low round record for both team and individual, as well as a new low team score for 54 holes. While Hazlett was with the Leopards, the team peaked as the #26th ranked DIII golf team in the country.

In his sophomore season, Hazlett finished low medalist in the year's first two conference events, before the season was suspended due to the pandemic.

In 2021, Hazlett transferred to the University of La Verne, where he would have a successful playing career, earning several top 10 finishes. To conclude his senior season, Hazlett was named a 2022-23 NCAA Division III GCAA All-America Scholar, highlighting his success both on and off the golf course.

Hazlett holds a M.S. in Education and B.A in Kinesiology from the University of La Verne, as well as an A.A. in Social Sciences from Palomar College.

Coach Hazlett continues to compete in SCGA and USGA Amateur and Mid-Amateur events during the off-season.
