PLNU Athletics

Sydney Long completed her second year as the Assistant for Athletic Communications at Point Loma in 2024-25, playing an integral role in back-to-back PacWest Sports Information Department of the Year awards.

Long assists in overseeing Athletic Communications for all Point Loma athletic teams.

Prior to arriving at PLNU, Long worked at Marquette University as an Athletic Communications Assistant.

She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,  majoring in Sports Media and Communications. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she interned for the Omaha Beef Indoor Football League as a live statistician.
