The 2020-21 academic year marks the 27th season Bostelaar has been a full-time member of the Point Loma Athletic Department. Bostelaar has spent his entire career as a Sea Lion after joining the Athletic Department shortly after graduating from PLNU.

Bostelaar earned his degree in Computer Science in 1994. The Palos Verdes Peninsula resident then began work in the PLNU athletic department in August of that year as the bookkeeper. Seven years later he became an Assistant Athletic Director.

These days, Bostelaar oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the athletic department and is involved in budget planning. He is also the department’s volleyball statistician and has previously served in the same role for baseball, basketball, softball, and golf. Bostelaar helped PLNU transition from the NAIA to the NCAA and still works on several NCAA and federal annual reports.

Bostelaar also assists in building Pacific West Conference schedules and has become valuable in this role after previously holding the title of master scheduler for the Golden State Athletic Conference for 14 years.
