Tyler Garkow tossed a complete-game in the opener of PLNU's doubleheader at Concordia last Friday. The junior from Glendora, Calif., allowed just one run on seven hits and struck out two batters. The Sea Lions won 4-1, stopping a 5-game skid. On Monday Garkow was chosen as the Golden State Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and on Tuesday he was selected as the NAIA National Pitcher of the Week.
