Kaycie Hanlin, a junior midfielder from Denver, Colo. (Cherry Creek HS), helped the Point Loma women's soccer team advance past Azusa Pacific on penalty kicks and reach the finals of National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) West Regional. Hanlin converted on her first penalty kick in the shootout and then again when the shootout came back to her in the 12th round to send the Sea Lions to the NCCAA West Region finals. Hanlin and senior midfielder Kallie Caldwell were the only Sea Lions to convert two penalty kicks in the shootout.
