Malcolm Collins, a junior guard from Burbank, Calif. (John Burroughs HS), scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds in 12 minutes to help Point Loma edge Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 42-40. Collins had a put-back with 45 seconds left to tie the game after the Sea Lions trailed by three and under a minute remaining. Those nine points and seven rebounds were both team-highs for PLNU and established new career-best marks for Collins.
