Soliaana Faapouli set the school record in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 158-6 (48.31m) at the 21st adidas/Steve Scott Invitational hosted by UC Irvine on Friday, May 1. The senior from Oceanside broke the old school-record held by Ivette Medina (2003) by four inches with that throw. Her mark was a huge improvement from her previous career-high of 152-10 (46.58m) which she set back in February at the Rossi Relays. The senior hit the mark on her second throw of the meet.
