Roya Rustamzada became the third player in Point Loma history and the second player in NCAA Division II this season to record a triple-double when she put up 14 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a 114-72 victory over Montevallo. It was the third most points scored in a single game in program history. The senior also had 19 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Cal State East Bay, which won the CCAA tournament last year and advanced to the NCAA West Regional. In the process, Rustamzada became the first NCAA Division II student-athlete to record four double-doubles this season.
