The Point Loma men's basketball team will take the short trip up I-15 to face Cal State San Marcos in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be played at Mira Costa College.

A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
Point Loma is 2-4 on the season and 1-1 on the road. Point Loma's last three contests have come down to the final possession with PLNU winning one of those. In their last game, Azusa Pacific hit two free throws with 4.5 seconds left to spoil
Todd Campbell's late tip-in and send the Cougars to a 51-50 win.
PLNU has allowed just one opponent all season to eclipse 60 points and that was San Diego Christian in overtime (68-63). This year Point Loma is giving up just 53.5 points per game while opponents shoot only 28 percent from long range. Campbell leads the team in points (8.0) and minutes (31.5). AJ Ussary leads the team in rebounds (5.5) and assists (3.2).
A LOOK AT CAL STATE SAN MARCOS:
The Cougars are 7-3 on the season and 2-0 at home. They will face UCLA in an exhibition on Tuesday night before taking on PLNU on Wednesday. Ali Langford leads the team with 17.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Jose Rivera has hit 34 treys on the season, and over 66 percent of his shots come from long range where he shoots it at 47 percent. Three other Cougars are also averaging double-figures in points as CSUSM averages 81.1 ppg as a team.
NEXT UP:
Point Loma will return to PacWest play when it heads to St. George, Utah to play Dixie State on Dec. 15. The final game before the Christmas holidays will be Point Loma taking on San Diego State at Viejas Arena in an exhibition game on Dec. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
