SEATTLE - Seattle Pacific's stifling defense held the Point Loma women's basketball team to just 17.5 percent shooting in the game as the Falcons took the finale of the Sodexo Tip-off Classic, 62-28, on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Sea Lions are now 1-1 on the season as SPU improved to 4-0.

The Falcons were paced by Katie Benson's 20-point, 17-rebound effort. She helped SPU go on a 22-4 run to close out the first half and take a 34-11 lead into halftime.

Jessica Escorza led Point Loma with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Sea Lions will now return home to host Vanguard in an exhibition on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at 7:00 p.m.
