(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Basketball was picked No. 2 in the PacWest Preseason Poll ahead of the 2026-27 season.
After finishing second in the conference standings a season ago, Point Loma is expected to finish as PacWest runner-up once again.
The Sea Lions received 83 points in the voting, one point ahead of third-placed Westmont and 15 behind defending conference champions Vanguard, who garnered eight of the 10 first place votes.
Westmont and Dominican received the other two first place votes.
Point Loma has finished in the top-3 in the PacWest standings in each of the last three seasons and has reached the conference tournament semifinals in each of the past five years.
PLNU opens its 2026-27 campaign at San Francisco State on Nov. 9 at 4:45 p.m.
