OAKLAND - The Sea Lions' guards were on display Thursday at Holy Names as
Marek Klassen scored 29 points and
Hayden Lescault had 20 points to lead Point Loma a 83-71 victory, its first in Pacific West Conference play this season.
Point Loma is now 5-2 on the season and 1-1 in the PacWest. The loss drops HNU to 1-8 (0-1 PacWest).
This is the first time this year that two Sea Lions reached the 20-point plateau in the same game.
PLNU also got strong contributions from
Mike Planeta who came off the bench with a career-high 12 points and a team-leading eight rebounds.
Junior Morgan and
AJ Ussery chipped in with eight points apiece.
Tyler Fry led four Hawks' student-athletes in scoring with 17 points.
