BELMONT, Calif. - The Point Loma men's soccer team earned a 0-0 tie on the road at Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday (Sept. 21) to finish off their Bay Area road trip undefeated.
This was the fourth straight match for PLNU in which it has picked up a point. The Sea Lions are now 3-2-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in the Pacific West Conference. The Argonauts now stand at 2-3-1 on the year (1-0-1 PacWest).
Neither team could find the net as both were nearly even on offense and defense. PLNU was outshot 12-10 and edged in corner kicks 6-3.
The Sea Lions were only able to get two shots on goal during the match, both of which were stopped by the Argonauts' Jay Tsuruoka.
Carter Phillips had a match-best three saves for Point Loma.
Griffin Fuller paced PLNU with three shots.
Daniel ten Bosch and
Tyler Allen each recorded a shot on goal for the Sea Lions.
The Point Loma men's soccer team will now step out of conference to face San Diego Christian on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 4:30 p.m.
