ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - The Point Loma men's tennis team pulled off a 7-2 win over PacWest Conference affiliate member Sonoma State on Tuesday, Mar. 10.

The Sea Lions (6-5) swept doubles to take a 3-0 lead and carried that momentum through singles to the victory. The Sea Lions have now won four of their last five contests. The loss puts Sonoma State at 1-7 on the season. This was the second meeting between the teams in a two week span, and SSU faced PLNU in back-to-back contests within its schedule.

At No. 1 singles,
Andre Staab disposed of his opponent in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-2.
Martin Blaho did the same at No. 2 as he swept 7-5 and 6-4. PLNU's other singles wins came at No. 6 with
Jack Alston (6-3 & 6-3) and at No. 5s where
CJ Erion outlasted his opponent in three sets and a tiebreaker, 6-2, 6-7 and 12-10. In doubles all three matches were won by PLNU 8-5.
