SAN DIEGO - It was a career night for both Christin Fisher and Brianna Sizemore, but it did not translate to victory for the Point Loma volleyball team, which fell in five sets to Fresno Pacific 25-20, 18-25, 22-25, 25-20 and 15-8 on Saturday, Oct. 29.
 
The loss drops PLNU below .500 in PacWest play to 6-7 (8-14 overall). With the victory, Fresno Pacific moved into a tie with Point Loma in the PacWest standings (8-9, 6-7 PacWest).
 
Sizemore had 23 kills to set a new career-high. She added 10 digs for her team-leading 10th double-double of the season. Fisher matched her career-high with 37 digs. She is on pace to set a new career-high for digs in a season, and has a chance to break the school's single-season record of 680. Ashlynn Fresques added 12 kills, while Marissa Hageman and Samantha Krakower chipped in with nine apiece. Cara Keturakis had 44 assists.
 
Karah Mitchel paced Fresno Pacific with 20 kills. Jasmine Phooka added 15 kills and Bissie DenHartog had 47 assists.
 
The Point Loma women's volleyball team will now head on the road to face first-place Concordia (20-2, 11-2 PacWest) on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
