SAN DIEGO - Five Sea Lions scored in double-figures to lead the Point Loma women's basketball team to a dominant 75-55 Homecoming victory over Biola on Saturday, Nov. 19.
 
The victory allowed PLNU to remain perfect on the season at 4-0. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Eagles and dropped them to 4-2 on the season.
 
Sydney Tonack went 7-of-12 from the field to pace Point Loma with 17 points in her final Homecoming game. Tonack also grabbed six rebounds. Fellow seniors 
Kassidy Gengenbacher and 
Madison West also reached double-figures with 12 and 16 points, respectively. West was 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from 3-point range. She is just nine 3-pointers from breaking the school's career mark. 
Alex Brunk added 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. 
Roya Rustamzada chipped in with 10 points, including two treys.
 
DeMoria White had 20 points for Biola, to lead all scorers. She was 7-of-17 from the field. Joclyn Kirton also reached double-figures for the Eagles with 10 points.
 
The Sea Lions never trailed after the opening minute. They used a 15-2 run, that stretched from the first to the second quarter, to extend their lead from two points to 15 and Biola was never able to get the lead back to single-digits. PLNU went up by as many as 28 (48-20) in the second half before setting on the 20-point margin of victory.
 
PLNU finished the game 8-of-15 as a team from 3-point range. The Sea Lions also outrebounded the Eagles by nine (35-26) and held them to 8-of-24 shooting from beyond the arc.
 
After opening the year with four straight home games, Point Loma will now have to head on the road next week. The Sea Lions will face a pair of CCAA foes at the Thanksgiving Classic in Carson, Calif., on Nov. 25 and 26. PLNU will play Cal State LA on Friday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. and Cal State Dominguez Hills for the second time this season on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m.Â
