SAN DIEGO - CJ Erion picked up wins in singles and doubles but the No. 29 Point Loma men's tennis team came up short against No. 18 Azusa Pacific, 6-3, on Thursday, Mar. 31.
 
The Sea Lions are now 10-11 on the season and the Cougars are 16-3.
 
Erion and doubles partner Adrian von Braun might just now be finding their rhythm. After struggling early when first pairing up, the duo has now won back-to-back matches. Today they took down the pair from APU at No. 2 doubles 8-5 for the Sea Lions' only point in doubles play.
 
In singles, Erion picked up a straight set win at No. 5 singles 6-2 and 6-2. Martin Blaho earned the other point in singles for PLNU with a 4-6, 6-3 and 2-1 (win by retirement) victory at No. 2 singles.
 
The Sea Lions will return to the courts next Saturday (Apr. 9) against UC San Diego in its final match before the PacWest Championships on Apr. 13-16.
