The victory keeps CBU (32-8, 22-4 PacWest) atop the PacWest Conference standings. With the loss, PLNU fell to 23-15 and to 12-12 in the PacWest.

The Lancers' Dylan Stowell improved to 9-0 on the season as he pitched six scoreless innings allowing six hits and four walks while striking out six. Brody Robinson picked up a four-out save to end the game.

California Baptist had just one run against
Kevin Lillicrop heading into the sixth inning when they scored three unearned runs to go up 4-0. Lillicrop took the loss after being charged with allowing seven hits and three runs (one earned) over 5.1 innings. He walked one and struck out two.

Kellen Sheppard was 2-for-4 with a double to lead PLNU. CBU outhit the Sea Lions 9-7 as Tyler Williams, Ryan Williams and Antonio Chavarria each recorded a multi-hit game.
