SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma women's volleyball team got in the win column with a 28-26, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-17 victory over Saginaw Valley State University in the final match of the Seaside Invitational on Sept. 3.

PLNU is now 1-3 on the season and SVSU evens their record at 2-2.

Brianna Sizemore led three Sea Lions in double-figure kills with 17. She also added 12 digs for her first career double-double.
Samantha Krakower and
Ashlynn Fresques each registered career-highs for kills with 11 and 13, respectively.
Cara Keturakis added 43 digs.
Christin Fisher had 22 digs and was named to the Seaside Invitational All-Tournament team.

PLNU cut down on its errors, making just 22 attack errors in the four set. The Sea Lions outhit SVSU .198 to .161 in the match.

Kaylee Schmitt paced the Cardinal with 15 kills and a .364 hitting percentage.

Point Loma will not have to travel far for their next tournament as they head to UC San Diego for the D2 West Regional Volleyball Showcase.Â
