A look at the Sea Lions
The Loma ladies are currently 5-2 on the season, after going 1-1 in the annual Thanksgiving Classic last week. The Sea Lions lead the conference in scoring offense (83.7) and scoring margin (14.1)

PLNU's junior forward,
Tayla Hepburn sits fourth in the PacWest in scoring (19.4 ppg), totaling 136 points so far this season. Hepburn also has the highest field goal percentage, leading the PacWest at .630 percent. Senior
Roya Rustamzada is second in the league in rebounds and assists, averaging 10.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game, respectively.
Sydney Peterson, a freshman guard, currently sits third in both assists (4.6) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.9).

As a team, Point Loma leads the PacWest in scoring by 2.5 points per game, and is outrebounding opponents by 4.1 boards per game. PLNU also ranks among the national leaders in a number of categories. Point Loma is 13th in scoring offense (83.7), 11th in assists (126), 10th in rebounds (329), eighth in defensive rebounds per game (33) and seventh in blocked shots (37).

A look at the Cougars
Azusa Pacific has started their 2017-2018 off with a bang. APU currently leads the PacWest conference at 9-1. The Cougars are on a three-game winning streak. APU sits second in conference in scoring offense (81.2 ppg), with a scoring margin of 10. Azusa Pacific won their first six games of the season, before losing their game against Seattle Pacific. The Cougars regained their winning streak, having won their last three games. Â As a team, APU is currently third in conference in rebounds (399) and leads the PacWest in assists (198) and blocked shots (46). Last season, PLNU and APU split their two meetings.
