Men's Tennis

No. 14 APU too tough for PLNU on the courts

SAN DIEGO - Brendon Millington-Hermann and the doubles pair of CJ Erion and Jesse Miritello all picked up wins, however those were the only points the No. 22 Point Loma men's tennis team would receive as it fell to No. 14 Azusa Pacific 7-2 on Saturday, Feb. 11.
 
Millington-Hermann, a junior transfer from the University of Northern Alabama, picked up his first win with the Sea Lions. He played Marnix Pluim on court 3 and persevered in three sets 6-2, 2-6 and 6-3. The victory for Erion and Miritello was their second of the season. They defeated Cameron Backman and Pluim at No. 3s, 8-3.
 
The loss drops PLNU to 0-3 on the season. Azusa Pacific improved to 4-0.
 
The Sea Lions' will be off until next Saturday when it hosts Holy Names at 2 p.m.
