IRVINE, Calif. - The No. 22 Point Loma men's tennis team fell 6-3 on the road to Concordia (CA) on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
 
The win moved the Eagles over .500 to 3-2 and dropped the Sea Lions to 0-5.
 
Point Loma fell behind 4-2 after singles, forcing themselves into a position where it needed to sweep doubles to earn the win. However, that did not happen as PLNU was only able to get one doubles match.
 
The Sea Lions picked up points in singles at No. 2 with Brendan Millington-Hermann winning 6-1 and 6-3. Jesse Miritello moved to 3-0 while playing at No. 5 singles with a three-set, tiebreaker win (2-6, 6-3 and 10-5). Miritello and Erion also earned an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
 
PLNU will now prepare for back-to-back home matches as it hosts Western New Mexico on Friday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. and in-region rival Sonoma State on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m.
