CARSON, Calif. - Cal State Dominguez Hills made a goal in the 12th minute hold up to earn a 1-0 victory over the Point Loma men's soccer team in the season opener for both teams. (Aug. 31)

Leonardo Nogueira knocked in what would-be the game-winner on a shot inside the box off an assist by Israel Gonzalez. This is the first time in three tries that the Toros have been able to defeat Point Loma in their season-opening matchup. CSUDH outshot PLNU 20-14, including 9-4 in shots on goal.
