The Turning Point
Things were looking good for Point Loma after putting the first goal on the board in the 22nd minute. However, the quick goal by CSLA did not allow them to celebrate for long and made it a new ball game after the 28th minute.
Words from the Hall of Wisdom
"It was a decent first half but it was lackluster with not a lot of bite to it. In the second half the ladies played good tactically but they also played with that bite and with passion and desire. I was really proud of them for that."
"I was really proud of our women today. Cal State LA is a really good team. It was a very positive game."
"Cal State LA is a very good team and coach Isabel is a very good coach. They have a good program and it is always a good game. For us to show up like we did was very good."
"We got to see some freshmen come into their own a little bit. We are starting to understand who can play where and what they can do. They are getting to the point where they've seen the good teams and played well against them."
"All four of these non-conference games have prepared us very well for the PacWest schedule. We are excited for conference, but conference is tough and there are no freebies. The parity in the PacWest is always getting better and you have to show up every match."
