LA MIRADA, Calif.—Point Loma went on the road for a conference matchup against the Biola Eagles. Less than 24 hours after a home match against California Baptist University the Sea Lions started the match a little flat against the Eagles. Losing both of the first two sets 25-23, the Sea Lions fought back after being down 2-0 to take the third set 26-24. The fourth set was all PLNU as they cruised to a 25-17 win. Biola would not back down easily though and the Sea Lions would battle them for a 16-14 win for the set and match.

The Sea Lions had four players with double-digit kills with Ashlynn Fresques and Jaime Cymbaluk leading the way with 13 kills apiece. Cara Keturakis was just one kill shy of a triple-double with 51 assists, 11 digs, and 9 kills. Point Loma was able to outpace the Eagles in both kills and digs. They found just enough determination to overcome the late push from Biola and earn their second conference victory of the season.

"Holley made a few WOW plays, and when she gets those, the defense is able to feed off of that energy."

PLNU will be on the road next weekend as they head to Hawaii to face Chaminade and Hawaii Hilo. The Chaminade game will be on Friday at 10 p.m. and then they travel to Hilo on Saturday for a game at 5 p.m.
