HONOLULU, Hawaii—The Sea Lions are on the road this weekend in Hawaii, their first match was against Chaminade who was 4-0 in conference play prior to their meeting. Point Loma came out strong with a 25-21 victory over the Silver Swords in the first set. Chaminade would answer with a 25-20 win in the second to even the game at one set apiece. The next two sets would be all PLNU as they had monster games for 25-14 and 25-11 wins in the third and fourth sets, respectively.
Julia Malinas had one of her best hitting performances of the season swinging for a .538 hitting percentage on her way to 17 kills, she also added 5 aces on the match.
Cara Keturakis earned her second double-double in a row with 39 assists and a season-high 13 digs. The Sea Lions played a balanced match and had solid contributions from each of their players for the second straight victory.
