HILO, Hawaii—After a short turnaround from a game last night, the Sea Lions were matched against the Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo. After a quick start in the first set Point Loma went up 1-0 with a 25-17 win. The next three sets would all be tight but the Vulcans would have the advantage in all three. Winning 25-23, 25-22, and 25-23 Hawaii Hilo was able to fight off every Sea Lion push.
PLNU struggled with errors after the first set and struggled to put extended runs together when needed. Despite the loss,
Holley Persson would notch 30 digs for her second highest total of the season.
Cara Keturakis also had a solid game for Point Loma with 45 assists, 7 digs, and 7 kills with the highest hitting percentage on the team at .400.
