HILO, Hawaii—After a short turnaround from a game last night, the Sea Lions were matched against the Vulcans of Hawaii Hilo. After a quick start in the first set Point Loma went up 1-0 with a 25-17 win. The next three sets would all be tight but the Vulcans would have the advantage in all three. Winning 25-23, 25-22, and 25-23 Hawaii Hilo was able to fight off every Sea Lion push.

PLNU struggled with errors after the first set and struggled to put extended runs together when needed. Despite the loss, Holley Persson would notch 30 digs for her second highest total of the season. Cara Keturakis also had a solid game for Point Loma with 45 assists, 7 digs, and 7 kills with the highest hitting percentage on the team at .400.

> Sophie Wingert posted a career high 7 kills on a .273 hitting percentage.
> Despite her 12 kills, Jaime Cymbaluk also had 10 hitting errors. Madelynn Fox also had 7 hitting errors against 9 kills. 
> In the second set the Sea Lions had a 22-16 lead before the Vulcans went on a 9-1 run to end the game, 5 of those 9 points were off of PLNU errors.
> Hilo closed out the fourth set on a 7-2 run after Point Loma was up 21-18 late in the set.

Point Loma heads home for a matchup with Concordia on Thursday at 7 p.m. This will be the team's Dig Pink game where they will be honoring those fighting breast cancer and raising awareness for the cause.
