SAN DIEGO -
Parker Scalzo scored two second-half goals to help lead the Point Loma men's soccer team earn a 3-0 win over Holy Names in the Annual Night Soccer Match on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Point Loma grabbed the early lead on
Tim Siegfried's penalty kick goal in the 11th minute. The penalty kick came after
Indiana Fuller found
Finn Tiedemann in the 18-yard box, and he was dragged down from behind. Siegfried calmly stepped up and drilled the penalty kick into the net for his 10th goal of the season.

As the second half began, coach Wolf decided start Scalzo on the pitch, and it turned the match completely in the Sea Lions' favor. Scalzo scored in the 52nd minute on an assist from
Jack Murphy. Scalzo beat the defense over the top and had a good shot on goal, which was rejected, but bounced right back to Scalzo for the rebound and the score. His second goal was great run on a pass by
Paul Sweet. Scalzo was able to angle himself to get passed his defender and then beat the keeper to the far side of the net for the goal.

Wiktor Lasota made five saves in the victory for PLNU. His counterpart, Alessandro Ramondino, had two stops for the Hawks.
