SAN DIEGO -
Tim Siegfried scored his first career hat-trick to lead the Point Loma men's soccer team to a 4-1 comeback win over Dominican on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Â
The Penguins netted the first goal of the match in the 14th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but the lead lasted only 10 minutes.
Â
The equalizer came in the 24th minute, when

Â
With the match evened at 1-1, the Sea Lions went on the attack and were able to find the back of the net two more times over the next 15 minutes.
Lucas Purgato found Siegfried in the 33rd minute and
Parker Scalzo netted his third goal over the past two matches in the 39th minute to put PLNU up 3-1.
Â
Coming out of halftime, Point Loma kept the pressure on the Penguins' defense.
Fabian Lueders played a perfect ball out of the back third as Siegfried made a break behind the DUC defense. Siegfried managed to stay onside to go one-on-one with the keeper. He chipped the ball over the keeper and into the back of the net for his third goal of the day and his 13th of the season.
Â
The defense allowed only three shots on goal and
Wiktor Lasota totaled two saves for the match. William Finnie had two saves as well for Dominican.
