SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma men's basketball team cruised to an 85-49 victory over San Diego Christian in front of a packed house at homecoming on Saturday, Nov. 17.
 
Ziggy Satterthwaite led an efficient Point Loma offensive attack with a season-high 24 points on 11-of-13 shooting. He also grabbed 13 rebounds for his first double-double of 2018-19. Satterthwaite's efforts helped PLNU shoot .576 percent from the field, including .655 percent in the second half when Satterthwaite went 8-of-8. The Sea Lions were also very effective from deep, hitting 10-of-22 shots from behind the arc. Hayden Fredrick led San Diego Christian with 17 points.
 
The game was never in doubt as Point Loma opened the contest on a 9-2 run, and led by as many as 21 points in the first half. The game did not get any closer in the second half as PLNU completed the 85-49 victory.

The Turning Point
It was still early in the game, but San Diego Christian had a little surge to cut PLNU's lead to 11-7. This woke the Sea Lions up and they went on a 19-3 run over the next seven minutes to push the lead to 20 (30-10). San Diego Christian would never get the deficit below 16 the rest of the way.

The Point Loma men's basketball team will continue its homestand with the Thanksgiving Classic tournament on Nov. 23-24. PLNU will open with Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Nov. 23. The Sea Lions will close out the tournament against St. Cloud State on Saturday, Nov. 24. Both games will be played at 7:30 p.m.
