SAN FRANCISCO - If you see the Point Loma men's soccer team play next week at PLNU you might be surprised at the squad you'll see. After two quality wins in the Bay Area, including Saturday's 3-0 victory over Academy of Art, the Sea Lions are returning to home with changes to their lineup, attitudes and confidence.
Â
For one of the only times this season the Point Loma men's soccer team played the entire 90 minute match. There was no slow start or lackadaisical finish; instead it was a complete team effort from beginning to end.
Â
Finn Tiedemann put up the first goal for the Sea Lions 12 minutes into the match when he took a pass from
Pascal Rodriguez and beat his defender down the sideline for the score. The score remained that way until halftime.
Â
Early in the second half,
Tim Siegfried made a run from the sideline into the center of the field and found
Jorge Navarro in front of him going away from the defense. Navarro squared up his shot and beat the goalie inside the near post for the score.
Jacob Eisenberg would put the match away in the 60th minute by heading in a corner kick from Siegfried.
Â
Wiktor Lasota had four saves in the match to earn his second straight shutout, and third shutout on the season.

Team records

Words for coach Wolf
On the weekend: "It was a good weekend for us. We found a little something as a unit. It was pair of good performances."
Â
On today's performance: "I told the guys this is going to be one of those seasons we are going to have to fight for everything we get. If we can get the fighters attitude we have a chance. I thought it was a good performance overall and we just have to keep this little bit of momentum we created."
Â
On the offense: "That is the hardest part of the game and we are still working on that part. You have to be make runs and create chances to win games. We improved there over the weekend but we have to keep working to get better in that area."
