BELMONT, Calif. - The Point Loma volleyball team put together its most complete match of the season to earn a three-set sweep at Notre Dame de Namur on Friday, Oct. 11.

The Sea Lions recorded a .313 hitting percentage in the match and did not hit below .240 in any set.
Torina Hommes led PLNU with 11 kills. She had just two errors in 21 swings for a .429 hitting percentage.
Jaime Cymbaluk and
Madie Fox added nine kills apiece.
Cara Keturakis returned to the court and had seven kills on just eight attempts, to go along with 10 digs and her match-high 33 assists.

Meanwhile, the Sea Lions held NDNU to a .055 hitting percentage thanks to its aggressive serve and strong defense. PLNU posted 12 aces in the match and did not allow any to the Argonauts.
Courtney Dyer led the defensive effort with 15 digs as Point Loma posted 52 digs to NDNU's 36. Â No Argonaut had over five kills in the match.

PLNU was also able to see
Ashlynn Fresques return to the court for the first time this year. The senior from Sacramento had a pair of digs and served the Sea Lions' last two points of the second set.

The win moves PLNU a half-game in front of Biola (5-3) for the fifth spot in the PacWest standings. Chaminade (8-0) and Azusa Pacific (5-0) remain atop the conference rankings with perfect records in PacWest play. NDNU fell to 1-6 in the league.
