SAN DIEGO – Point Loma returned to San Diego to begin a five game home stand to close out their regular season. The Sea Lions had already matched their conference win total from last season and looked surpass that win total and extend their current winning streak. Behind 11 first quarter points from
Sydney Peterson and solid fourth quarter defense, PLNU was able to hold on for their eighth-straight win.

Point Loma went up big after one quarter of play and held a 16-point lead heading into the half. The Vulcans were not phased as they came out hot in the third quarter going 5-of-7 from three, putting up 25 points in the frame. They were unable to lockdown the Sea Lions defensively though, only outscoring them by two in the quarter. UHH opened the fourth with a 9-2 run but two huge defensive plays from

Cara Liggins put up 19 points with six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
