Box Score SAN DIEGO – Point Loma was back on the courts after a 10-day hiatus where several of their matches were canceled or postponed due to rain. After losing a tough match to one of the top teams in the region the Sea Lions were primed to get back on the court and secure their first win of the season. The team began with strong doubles play and were able to secure a 7-0 win over the Firebirds of Saint Katherine.
 
The Firebirds only had two doubles teams available to compete on the day and Point Loma was able to secure sweeps in each of their matches. Thomas Dafcik and Yuki Okamoto earned the win at No. 1 doubles with Scott Wheeler and Tim Soderman earned the win at No. 2 doubles.
 
Wheeler would secure the first singles point for the Sea Lions and earned his first singles win on the season after his singles match went unfinished in the team's opening match. Mark Vasat and Soderman would quickly follow Wheeler with wins of their own to secure the victory with four points. Once again the Firebirds only had five available singles players so Dafcik and Okamoto rounded out the scoring with their wins in the top two positions.
