SAN DIEGO – Point Loma was able to get on the court for the first time in over a week Tuesday evening when they hosted the Firebirds of the University of Saint Katherine. The Sea Lions came out strong in doubles, winning all three matches and set the tone for the day as they won the match, 7-0.
 
Gabi Armas and Ellie Gamble won 6-1 in the No. 1 position while both the Nos. 2 and 3 positions were able to sweep their doubles matches to earn Point Loma the early point. Nicole Camaratta partnered with Madison McKay for the first time on their way to a doubles sweep.
 
Singles went much the same for Point Loma as they played at the top of their game earning straight set wins in each match. Freshman, Sofia Johansson would earn the first singles point for the Sea Lions with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 6 singles. Only one Firebird player was able to earn more than one win in a set against Point Loma with every other player securing wins at either 6-1 or 6-0.
