Wheeler's Words
On a tough Sonoma team: "The last few years we have had a lot of close matches with Sonoma so we expected another tough battle. Sonoma was stronger than us in singles play which was the difference. Their top player, Jensyn, has led them in their strong singles for many seasons and she was tough again today."
On earning the doubles point: "The ladies did a great job today of taking the doubles point. We did a great job of starting strong at both 2 and 3 doubles and maintaining that play to the end of doubles."
On what the team needs to do to find better singles success: "The ladies will need to bring some more energy and focus to the beginning of their singles matches tomorrow. Especially with the weather suppose to be even warmer tomorrow, getting the lead early will be important."
On playing FPU for the first time this season: "The ladies are looking forward to play a new opponent tomorrow in FPU. Making adjustments against players you haven't played before will be key tomorrow."
