AZUSA, Calif. - The Point Loma women's volleyball team fell on the road to conference preseason favorites, Azusa Pacific, in three sets on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Cougars began the match on fire offensively and defensively. They hit .355 in the first set while holding the Sea Lions to a negative hitting percentage (-.065) to put all momentum on their. Point Loma would fight back and make the second and third sets much more competitive, but APU would go on to earn the sweep.

Julianne Miller had 11 kills with no errors on 21 swings to hit .524 and lead Azusa Pacific in both categories. Annaka Jorgenson added in 10 kills.

Grace Hicks led the Sea Lions with six kills apiece.

Cara Keturakis had 19 assists.
