Madie Fox had 14 kills and
Tate Duane added six as the two middle blockers combined for a .486 hitting percentage to lead the Point Loma women's volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-17 and 26-24 sweep of Academy of Art.

Point Loma was efficient to start the match, hitting .306 in the first set and holding ART U to a .146 mark, to jump out to the 1-0 lead. In the second set the Sea Lions were even better on the attack with a .381 hitting percentage. In the third set, both teams hit .170 and the Urban Knights came back to tie the set at 24-24. Fox then stepped up with two kills, before
Torina Hommes ended the match for the Sea Lions' sweep.

Scott's Thoughts
On the middles: "It was a good matchup. We felt like that would be strong for us and it certainly was. Madie absolutely killed it."

On getting the sweep: "Unfortunately it was a sigh of relief there at the end. We were really taking it to them early and we let our foot off the gas in the middle of the third set, and they almost stole it from us."
On turnaround of playing tomorrow: "We need to get some good rest and I think we will be ready."
