IRVINE, Calif – The Point Loma men's tennis team dropped their match 5-2 to Concordia on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

The Sea Lions came out firing on all cylinders as they sweep their way through doubles play. Jan Plueer and Alejandro Castaneda defeated their opponents 6-4. Yuki Okamoto and Tyler Davis improved to 3-1 on the season after their 6-2 victory today. Tim Soderman and Jasdeep Paintal grinded out a win defeating their opponents 7-5. Headed into singles play PLNU would lead 1-0.

The Sea Lions could not keep the momentum they garnered from doubles play in singles play. David Strassburger would get the lone singles play Sea Lion victory winning his sets 6-3 and 6-4. Tim Soderman came close to pushing his match to three sets but fell 3-6 and 5-7.

Point Loma fell 5-2 in the team's first matchup of the season. They will meet again on Friday, March. 20.
