SAN DIEGO – For the first time in Point Loma men's tennis history, the Sea Lions fell to Biola 5-2.

The match opened up with doubles play which saw Biola take the point winning two of three matchups. Tim Soderman and Jasdeep Paintal lose their game 2-6 which put PLNU behind early. Alejandro Castaneda and Jan Plueer pulled out a big win defeating their opponents 7-5. Yuki Okamoto and Tyler Davis looked to win their fifth game as doubles partners but fell just short and lost 4-6.

Singles play was not nice to the Sea Lions as they fell in four of the six games. After dropping the first two games Tyler Davis got the Sea Lions on the board defeating his opponents in three sets by scores of 4-6, 6-1, and 6-3. Jasdeep Paintal got the second Sea Lion point with a big win over his opponent.

Point Loma would fall to Biola for the first time in men's tennis history 5-2.

> Prior to this match PLNU was 16-0 against Biola.
> The No. 2 position remains strong for PLNU as they are a combined 3-2 overall this season.
