SONOMA, Calif. – The Point Loma men's tennis team picked up their second win of the season in dominating fashion beating Sonoma State 4-2.

Much like the women's tennis format the men also started with singles and would play doubles if necessary. Tim Sodermand and David Strassburger gave the Sea Lions an early 2-0 lead after they defeated their opponents in straight sets.

After going up 2-0, Sonoma State would get right back in the match with two wins of their own. With two points still out there Point Loma would bear down and go to work.

Jan Plueer recorded the third point for PLNU defeating his opponent in three sets. With one singles match left Point Loma looked to Tyler Davis to get the point. Davis dropped the first set but clawed his way back in it winning the second set. Going into the third set Davis had the momentum and would use it to win 6-4 and gain the fourth and final point for the Sea Lions.

Point Loma won the match 4-2.
