POINT LOMA GRITS THROUGH TOUGH WIN VS. BIOLA

EXTENDS CLEAN SHEET STREAK TO 6

SAN DIEGO-When the opponents are not scoring against you, the odds of winning are pretty high.

The Point Loma Sea Lions (6-2-1 overall, 3-0-0 PacWest) are living what is pretty easy to figure out, using a single goal from Teague Anderson to extend their five-match winning streak with a 1-0 result against the Biola Eagles (5-4 overall, 1-1-0 PacWest) Wednesday afternoon.

Seth Ketterer and the Point Loma defense registered the sixth consecutive clean sheet for the Sea Lions.

"Seth made two massive saves that kept us in the first half," Point Loma Head Coach Phil Wolf said. "Obviously, Jack Murphy stepped in when Matthew went out two days ago and Jack had a great performance. If you don't concede you're going to be in a great spot, and that's where we are right now."

The Sea Lion's spot got better in the 61st minute when Austin Lavell squared a cross in front of the Biola keeper that made it all the way to the back post where Anderson was waiting to tap it in.

The rest of the match was physical with the two team accounting for 26 fouls and 7 total cards, with Biola receiving the match's only red on account of a 2nd yellow.

The Sea Lions played a man up for the final 23 minutes of the match.

Point Loma has now won six straight after starting the season at 0-2-1. They have not conceded a goal in 540 minutes.

The Sea Lions will have a week to rest on the accomplishments before hosting Dominican at 3:30pm at the PLNU Soccer Field.
