HONOLULU, Hawai'i---A slow start befuddled the second leg of the Point Loma Sea Lions (13-12 overall, 9-8 PacWest) Hawai'I tour in a straight set loss to the Chaminade Silverswords (26-5 overall, 16-3 PacWest) Friday night.
Point Loma hit negative in the first set and never could recover as the Silverswords continued their strong season. The Sea Lions .071 attack percentage is their lowest of the season in a single match.
To make matters more difficult, the Silverswords 51 kills were the most allowed by Point Loma in a three set match all season.
Claire Smith led the way for Point Loma with 7 kills while
Bailey Williams was the most efficient, delivering five kills without an error on 16 attempts.
Point Loma concludes its Island road trip against Hawai'i Pacific Saturday evening at 9:00pm (PT).
