SAN DIEGO---A sluggish second quarter was too much to overcome in the Point Loma Sea Lions (6-4 overall, 2-2 PacWest) 68-60 loss to the Academy of Art Urban Knights (5-4 overall, 2-1 PacWest) Saturday afternoon inside Golden Gymnasium.

Alix Henderson matched her career-high 18 points for the 2^nd time this month, before fouling out in the closing minute as Point Loma aggressively mounted a comeback.

But the hole was dug after the second quarter when the Urban Knights turned a three-point difference into thirteen before the half. Four different Urban Knights were in double figures for the game, but it was Alisha Wilson's 18 rebounds, which put Point Loma at -10 on the glass, that spurred the Urban Knights.

Six of those came on the offensive end and turned would-be Point Loma stops into the necessary cushion for the Academy of Art.

In that 2nd period, Point Loma was just 4-14 from the field and 0-3 from three. While the Academy of Art was 8-17 from the field and hit three of their six 3-pointers in the period.

Outside of Henderson, Point Loma received multiple buckets from five other players, and Cara Liggins continued her excellent effort on the glass with 13 rebounds.

But Point Loma was just 1-13 from three, a season low.

Point Loma will look to bounce back against Azusa Pacific on Saturday, December 18^th at 5:30pm in Golden Gymnasium.
