SAN DIEGO - The Point Loma women's tennis team fell to the No. 11 team in the country, Azusa Pacific, on the road on Friday, Mar. 5.
 
APU captured the first point of the match in doubles with wins on courts 2 and 3. Gabi Armas and Angelique Friedrich pushed their doubles match to a tiebreaker on court 1 after splitting the first 12 games. However, they were unable to overcome the Cougars' top duo, falling 11-9 in the tiebreaker.
 
In singles play, Amanda Letzring got a first set win on court 2, winning her tiebreaker 6-4 but it was not enough to help the Sea Lions on this day. The Cougars were able to take the other five singles matches to earn the win.
