SAN DIEGO – The women's tennis team was unable to take down nationally-ranked, PacWest for Azusa Pacific and fell 4-0.
Azusa Pacific took the early momentum as they swept Point Loma in doubles play. The Cougars won 6-1 in the No. 3 position to gather the early edge. They then won 6-4 in the No. 2 position to gather the doubles play point. They also won 6-3 in the No. 1 position.
As the match headed to singles play Point Loma tried to gain some momentum but was unable to. The nationally-ranked Cougars were too much winning the first three singles matches to clinch the match. The Cougars won in the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 positions to win the match.
Gabi Armas was winning her match when the Cougars clinched.
