LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Point Loma men's tennis team was looking to sweep the season series against Biola, but were unable to as they dropped the match 4-0 (April 3).
The match started with doubles play and Biola picked up the early advantage as they won in the No. 3 position. They would later win in the No. 2 position to clinch the doubles point.
Tyler Davis and
Lukas Schuster were tied in their match 5-5 when the point was clinched.
As the match moved to doubles play Point Loma tried to overcome the early 1-0 deficit. Unfortunately, Point Loma had a player retire from their match which gave Biola a 2-0 lead. The Eagles would end up winning in the No.1 and No. 3 position to clinch the match.
Point Loma still leads the all-time series 16-2 against Biola.
