FRESNO, Calif.—The Point Loma Women's Tennis team (3-1) continued their 3-match winning streak with a 4-3 win over the #25 Academy of Art Urban Knights (1-2) in a neutral site match at Haak Tennis Complex.
 
While doubles action favored the Urban Knights early, the Sea Lions found themselves down 1-0 in the team score, as the Academy of Art took both of the first two matchups and was leading in the third.
 The quickest singles match also went to the Urban Knights leaving Point Loma with a narrow path to victory.
 
But Amanda Letzring won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to get Point Loma on the board.
 
Faith Pearson captured the momentum after taking her first set 7-5, winning all six games in set two, and earning her first singles win of the year at a crucial time for Point Loma.
 
Angelique Friedrich improved to 4-0 on the season in singles play, bouncing back from a first set loss, before rallying off 6-1, 6-4 wins to take the match in three sets and putting the Sea Lions ahead 3-2 in the team score.
 
After Academy of Art won the #1 singles match-up, it came down to Sophomore Thelma Sepulveda who bounced back from a 2-6 loss winning 6-1 and 6-4 to give Point Loma a 4-3 victory. 
 
Women's Tennis will stay in Fresno, finishing their road trip at 3:00 pm on Saturday against the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds.
