LA MIRADA, Calif.-The Point Loma Sea Lions (18-8 overall, 14-4 PacWest) knocked down 13 three-pointers and led for 98% of their 83-69 win over the Biola Eagles (19-5 overall, 13-4 PacWest) to sweep the season series and leapfrog their PacWest foe in the conference standings Wednesday night at Chase Gymnasium.
The win stretches Point Loma's win-streak to 9 consecutive games while snapping Biola's 8 game winning streak.

Ben Okhotin knocked down 7 of his 8 three-pointers to lead the lethal Point Loma attack.
Point Loma's hot shooting started and closed strong from three-point territory to lock up the series sweep over their SoCal rival.
Point Loma raced out in front of Biola behind the 3-ball hitting six of their first nine three-point attempts in the first thirteen minutes.
The Sea Lions continued to grow the lead to 15 at 35-20 with two minutes left in the first half. But Biola cut the deficit with a monster stretch that included 9-0 run at the end of the period, hovering within striking distance at 39-32.
Kaden Anderson dominated the interior racking up 20 points and 9 of Point Loma's 35 rebounds.
But it was the outside shooting that blossomed the Sea Lions' lead.
Okhotin spurred Point Loma's effective outside shooting as the Sea Lions knocked down 6 triples in the first half and added 7 more in the final twenty minutes. But the final twenty minutes saw PLNU shoot 58% from deep and solidify their double-digit lead.
The Sea Lions also received 11 points and 4 assists a piece from
Myles Franklin and
Brock Mackenzie.
Okhotin finished with a game-high 24 points and added 7 rebounds.
For the second game in a row, Point Loma's win flipped the team atop of the PacWest standings, but the Sea Lions still sit in 2
nd despite the 9 game winning streak.
Azusa Pacific, along with their win over Concordia, regained control of the top spot ahead of their meeting with Biola on Saturday.
With the expanded playoff field for the PacWest tournament this year, the conference standings will be decided by winning percentage and PLNU currently sits a half game behind APU for the top spot in the conference.
But while Biola and APU battle it out on Saturday, Point Loma will return to Golden Gymnasium to host Concordia for Homecoming at 8:00pm.
